Paper Test with Mailed Results. This is a timed test.
Christian Liberty Press offers the paper-version of the CAT tests for entering grades 2 through 12. This service includes all the necessary testing materials and instructions for administering them. After testing, return the materials to us for scoring. We will then mail you the final results and original test sheet. Scores are reported in grade equivalent, stanine, and percentile format.
It often takes one week to grade and return your student’s test results. If ordering the Curriculum Recommendation service, please allow an additional week for receipt of both the test results and recommendation.
If you decide to enroll your student into the Christian Liberty Academy School System (CLASS) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the testing fee will be deducted from your student’s tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different Achievement Testing level than the one he or she originally took, the test cost will not be deducted from your student’s tuition fee. Please use the CAT Level Chart below to determine if you are eligible for a refund when enrolling your child with CLASS.
|CAT Level||Entering Grade Level|
|•||The entire fee must accompany the order form. We do not accept partial payments and there are no discounts for multiple orders.|
|•||The paper-based CAT Testing Service fee is $25 per student. The Curriculum Recommendation Service fee is $18 per student.|
Cancellation / Refunds
|•||Testing Service: a 60% refund will be granted for the paper version of the CAT only if the unused testing service materials are returned to Christian Liberty Press within 60 days of the date of shipment. Mail your materials to Christian Liberty Press, Attn: Testing Service, 502 West Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 60004-5402.|
|•||Curriculum Recommendation Service: if we receive your cancellation notice before we start the recommendation process, we will send you a full refund. Once our recommendation is completed, we are unable to issue a refund for this service.|
|•||If you wish to cancel your testing service and/or curriculum recommendation service, contact Christian Liberty Press as soon as possible to prevent unwanted processing that may affect your refund.|

Great tests to fulfill our states homeschooling requirement for standardized testing.

While I found the content to be good, the paper quality and the yellow ink made it quite difficult for my son. It would be nice if they could make the ink darker or just use a different color which would stand out better. We totally missed some of the print because it was so light. As homeschoolers, my kids didn't understand some of the questions. One was related to school, and showed a picture of a school... to my 6 year old, it looked like a building, not a school, so I know he got that one wrong. Im sure we will use CL again, despite the small issues I had.

I searched high and low on the web for a simple and effective test we could administer at home and which satisfies the requirements of our state test. It's the first year we are testing our daughter so we opted for the paper test rather than the online one - the option to use paper instead of online is really helpful.
This 1970 CAT test is an answer to prayer and we're most grateful to the Lord that Christian Liberty provides this unique offering to the homeschooling community - it's straightforward, easy to administer, aligned with biblical teaching, elegantly designed, proven, and effective in its measurement of achievement. The test arrived well packaged and protected and we were able to complete it on one Saturday. Instruction to administer the test is very clear. This test and Christian Liberty's service really have helped take one important load off my and my wife's shoulder in homeschooling and as a homeschooling parent I'm sure you can appreciate what that means.
I prayed and will continue to pray that the Psalm 91 protection and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ will be upon Christian Liberty and this test so that the test can continue to be available for many years to come. Please, if you are a user of this test, join me in praying for protection and provision for Christian Liberty and this test as you pray for ongoing protection and provision of your other homeschooling material/curriculum suppliers. Thank you and God bless, hope this review is useful to you.

I really like this test. I find it very easy to understand and I feel as though most of it is common sense. Which there is also a down side. I am a average A&B student but I find this test easy. So I think anyone would be able to use it and understand it. I would recommend it and in fact I have to my friends.

I was so pleased with the test as well as customer service. Thank for making things easy after I made a mistake in the order. Thank you for being such a blessing.

The test that I received was from 1970. If I knew this beforehand, I would have ordered a different test. I found it a bit outdated.

Read all the directions through before administering, and you should have no problems!
I am so thankful to be able to have my homeschooled child take this CAT test; for the requirements from the state I live in.. And for my own piece of mind.

I've used the CAT test for years. I believe it is challenging, but not scary for my children. Although I will most likely stay with the CAT test, I will ONLY order from Christian Liberty as they have very kind and patient people who take my order!!

After our first year of homeschooling our two kids, ages 6 and 8, we purchased this test to see what the kids had learned and where we have gaps.
The level 1 test for my child that just completed first grade was easy to understand, but required the proctor to be very hands on for reading many of the items.
The level 3 test is designed for kids entering 4th, 5th, and 6th and is more hands-off for the proctor. It is also clear and easy to understand. My child had the most difficulty with the short amount of time allowed for each section.
It will be interesting to see what the scores look like when we get them back.
