Product Description

Curriculum with Foreign Language Emphasis
21 Credits

Get the support you need with the flexibility you want! When you enroll in the CLASS Plan, your student's academic records are maintained by CLASS. We assemble the curriculum best fitted for your child based on standardized test scores, other academic information, and your course choices, in accord with CLASS curriculum requirements. Your schedule is up to you! Books and materials are chosen from a variety of carefully selected publishers. In addition to the publishers routinely assigned within our standard curriculum, CLASS offers alternate publishers in certain course categories for selected grade levels. If you request an alternate course, CLASS will assign it provided that your student’s academic background and standardized test scores are appropriate for the grade level. After you begin working with our curriculum, you may request a new assignment if a particular course proves inappropriate. Please visit the CLASS website for details.

This chart shows one possible choice plan for the student wishing to pursue foreign language.  The number following each course is the amount of academic credit awarded for successful completion.

Please click on a course title in the table below to see its description and a book preview. (Note: Book preview is not available for some courses).

Following this plan does not guarantee entrance into any particular college or university, nor does it guarantee entrance into any program within a college or university.  If you are interested in specific academic institutions, you should contact them prior to course selection to determine if they have any entrance requirements that must be met.

Curriculum: Our High School Choice List is a list of available course choice options. It briefly describes the courses and materials, credits, and costs in order to help you choose your courses. Simply click on a title for detailed information (if available). You are not required to make any course choices above. CLASS will assign courses to make sure that your student meets our requirements for graduation.

For more detailed information about our requirements, please view Highschool Choice on the CLASS Website.

Book Credits: When enrolling with CLASS, certain books qualify for tuition credit if you already own these books. CLASS has made this option available to you in order to try to reduce your tuition costs.  When selecting your curriculum options, you will see options available for not receiving certain course materials.  Please use the chart below by clicking on the qualifying title, and verify the publication information indicated. Once you have verified that you have the correct title, publisher, and published date for the title, you may select above that you do not need this title shipped to you and your credit will immediately be applied to your purchase.  CLASS does not provide financial credit for most teacher keys or manuals, or Christian Liberty Press publications.

Achievement and Placement Testing:

New and re-entering students
New and re-entering students enrolling in grades 2–12 must take a placement test prior to curriculum development. CLASS prefers to use the California Achievement Test (CAT) - either online CAT* or paper CAT, especially if you need a standardized achievement test to meet local requirements. You may use the online TestPoint placement test* if you need to determine if the student is ready for a selected grade instead. There is no extra charge for either selection.

Re-enrolling students
Re-enrolling students are not required to be tested. Unless you choose another testing option, a paper California Achievement Test will be included with your curriculum materials and may be completed at your convenience. There is no additional charge if you would prefer the online CAT*.

If you choose to have your re-enrolling student pre-tested, please select yes above. The student’s curriculum will not be developed until the pre-test is completed and returned. The CAT test (online* or paper version) is recommended for pre-testing, but not required.

*Please allow 1 - 2 business days processing time for your online test. You will be notified via email with website information when your student's test is set up and ready to be taken.

Comments and Requests: To help us develop a proper curriculum for your student, we ask that you provide us with any:

  • course choices not offered above (if any)
  • general information regarding the student's academic background
  • comments about his/her strengths and weaknesses
Cancellation and Pricing: Partial refund available upon cancellation within 30 days of main curriculum shipping date.  Tuition prices are subject to change and the most current prices will be charged to your credit card.
