Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

thankful for immediate results and great customer support.
I really like receiving test results immediately. I put a sticky note over the count down timer. It helped the kids to relax while taking their tests.

Fast and easy to administer
CAT test are very convenient to take and administer. However, my child does not do well with timed tests. I would like to suggest a little longer time in the math computation section.

Would like to see a special needs component ....
I homeschool our teenage daughter and this year was the first year that we used Christian Liberty's online California Assessment Test. We only had two issues with the test. 1) (and this is partially my fault) I did not see a component that would allow my daughter to have extra time which is allowed in her IEP for testing. She has the use of double time if needed and the time given for each section was far too short for someone with testing accommodations. 2) We wasted valuable time having to scroll down after answer a question to move on to the link for the next page. I would like to suggest that the IT people find a way to get the test question and the "next question" link in the same screen view so as not to waste precious time scrolling down the page to get to click the link for the next page/question. Otherwise, we were very happy with the test and the customer service that came along with it. We loved getting instant result for each section to know how she was doing and having the flexibility to do some of the testing one day and spreading it out over a few days.

Great!
As a home schooler I was in need of a standarized test to determine that we were on par, or even ahead and I found this test while searching thenet. I made the purchase and was able to begin testing the next day. Test completed and results back almost immediately. It had indicated results would be delivered within 24 hours but we got our's back at the end of the test. The purchase was easy. The access to the test was easy. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend this product. Only set back is that I didn't realize it did not test science and history. One thing my 8th grader complained about was that once you hit submit for each answer the system took you back to start and you had to scroll back to the next question. This caused some frustration because it wasted time and each segment you were only allowed so much time to complete.

Much easier for student!
My 9 yr old thought it was fun!

Pretty easy to use. Great speed of results.
We used a entering 6th grade test and entering 2nd grade test. We liked not having to fill in circles of the paper test. The 6th grade test took a little more getting used to in some of language parts as it required scrolling on the page to view/read it all. The 2nd grade test was great, almost fun to my son.

love online testing
Loved doing the test online! The sign in process was easy, launching the test was easier on the PC than on the Mac. There was a small arrow to click to get the test to fully appear on the Mac and we lost about three minutes figuring that out on the first test. Then it went fast and was done. Love a speedy test!
