Some students struggle when taking standardized achievement tests simply because they are not accustomed to the testing environment. For students such as these, Christian Liberty now offers a special online practice version of the 1970 edition California Achievement Test that will help to make them more comfortable with the testing process.
For obvious reasons, the Christian Liberty CAT Practice Test will not expose students to the same questions that are found on the official California Achievement Test. Nevertheless, students will still be provided with enough questions in each of the major testing categories to obtain a general idea of what they will encounter on the official CAT.
Our online practice test also provides a simplified scoring method in which students are informed immediately upon completion of the test simply how many questions they answered correctly within each test section. For this reason, and others, scores from the online practice CAT are only intended to provide students with general feedback regarding their readiness levels, and are not equivalent to test results from an actual standardized achievement test.

I am so thankful that I purchased this. It was helpful for my child to be able to experience what the test would be like with similar questions in a timed setting before she had to take the actual test. A lot of frustration and meltdowns were avoided. Thank you!!!
This was my first experience with online testing. The directions were easy to follow and this gave my son a great introduction to online achievement testing. Thank you for providing this helpful product.
Everything was great but we felt that the time went by just a little too fast and made it a little stressful.
This was so valuable to see what we need to work on before the actual test. I only rate it 4 stars because... luckily I watched my son take the test so I knew what questions he got wrong. It would have been nice to have the questions and his answers, along with the right answers at the end. Rather it only provides you with a test score in each subject.
The kids were pretty nervous at first, but their fears slowly faded as they progressed through the practice exam. Each one finished within the time allotted, although not without struggle here and there. Also happy the results came back right away.
Purchased the practice test for my 1st grader as we weren't sure if we wanted to do the online or paper version. Being able to get familiar with the interface and see how it worked was extremely helpful in reducing both of our anxiety. We were then able to confidently move forward with the real online test. I love that the test is scored instantly.
We like using it to give our kids, who have never tested, an idea of what it is like.
This was our first year homeschooling and giving our daughter a standardized test. I was really nervous about it. I had several friends recommend the CAT test and so we decided to buy the practice test first. It was incredibly helpful. It looked just like the real test, just shorter. It showed me exactly what types of questions would be on the test. We were torn on having our daughter take the online or paper test, and after taking the online practice test, we felt confident that the online test would be fine!
I love that you can order this and have it immediately. It was an easy way to get my son familiar with the test and get a sense of how the topics might present themselves. He'll go into this (his first standardized test ever) more prepared.
