Course Description: The topics of Arithmetic 5 are reviewed and expanded with divisors up to four digits; use of exponential notation within prime factorization; GCF and LCM calculations using prime factorizations; decimal-fraction-percent conversions; range, mean, and median; and word problems involving ratios, percent increase or decrease, simple interest, commission, and property taxes. Area and perimeter concepts are extended to include circles, triangles, parallelograms, polygons, and more complex figures.
