We love the Studying God's Word series.
We have been using this series for 3 years and it has brought so much more understanding of God's word to the children and me. It has been a fun blessing to learn along side them and grow in our faith together.

Good basic study
This series is a good study, for students to do themselves. However, we use them 2 years behind their suggested level, that is, the suggested 4th grade we use at the 6th grade level.

Well-planned and thorough
I enjoy using this series because it covers all the areas I want in my childrens' Bible Studies: text, memory work, a lesson with review questions, some activities and map work.

Decent book with systematic, easy to follow lessons
Finally, a series of books that presents biblical teachings to children in a chronological order... A way that makes it easier for the brain to process times and events. Would be nice if it was offered in NIV since many children's bibles and grown up bibles, are NIV. That version of. Unless just seems to be more popular and readily available than King James. That's the only reason give it 4 stars.
My 4th grader has been in private Christian school since age 3 and finds this book fun and easy to follow without assistance. Only assistance I provide is pronunciation when required. First 5 lessons, all we've done as of this writing, she largely completed without much looking up many bible verses and using prior knowledge. -
Bible Book E
I think the book is a little hard for 4th grade but it is not nearly as hard as Christian Light Education books.
