The Christian Liberty Nature Reader series has been a favorite of kindergarten through fifth grade students for years. This six-volume set covers topics that fascinate young minds and create a desire to read. Beginning with an alphabet of stories about animals, the series progresses through insects, spiders, birds, shellfish, turtles, and more, finally ending with a study of marine animals. Most important is the common theme that everything is a part of God’s wonderful creation.
Each volume of the series progresses in reading level to provide enjoyment for years. Answer keys to the review questions (especially useful for those who want to check for reading comprehension) are also available.

These books were a joy for my sons to read over the years. We used them for many years, sometimes reading the chapters over again just out of interest. They are beautifully written, and so interesting! They were a favorite, and were some of the most well loved books on their school book shelves.
My 10 yr old happily reads aloud to my 4 year old and Learns as well from the first book in thiS series (k) and then will independently pick up level 5 or which ever she sees fit for herself that day and reads a lesson and completes the questions. She loves this series, I love this series ! No matter the skill or age of the child they will learn from these, the books are interesting to read, not text- bookish. They snuggle in quite comfortably with our Charlotte Mason style homeschool. With four youngsters under 5yrs old, it is a great relief for my 5th grader to have some independent studies she enjoys as much as these quick and informative lessons.
These are something we have enjoyed before & are excited to own them ourselves.
Every Friday morning I read some from these books to my daughters (ages 5 and 3), They are very interesting and we all learn much without realizing that we have been learning while being entertained by interestinig animal stories. I am not allowed to read these stories to our daughters unless my wife is here to listen, too, as she enjoys the stories as much as teh children. Every week, I have to tell them that that is all for now, as they want me to keep reading more.
I have to say that I absolutely love these Nature Readers! A friend let me borrow one and after reading just a couple of the stories, we were hooked. My kids are 6 and 7 years old. They really enjoy these stories because of the factual nature as well as how the authors tell what and why God made animals they way He did. I am recommending these to all my friends!
