Course Description
This college-prep biology course provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general biology. Heavily emphasizing the vocabulary of biology, it provides the student with a strong background in the scientific method, the five-kingdom classification scheme, microscopy, biochemistry, cellular biology, molecular and Mendelian genetics, evolution, dissection, and ecosystems. It also provides a complete survey of the five kingdoms in Creation.
Note: This course does not contain a discussion of human anatomy and physiology. These subjects are covered in Apologia's Advanced Biology course.

Requirements
Complete all Study Guide questions (the other text exercises and experiments are optional but recommended), and 16 tests. The text questions and exercises are to be graded by the instructor; tests will be graded by Christian Liberty (CLASS).
There is no lab requirement for this course. If you wish to add a lab component (25 experiments) that you would complete independently and not return to CLASS, you may purchase our biology lab kit.
