The Duties of Parents is a short text that is packed full of wisdom and ought to be available to every family. It is based on Proverbs 22:6: "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Within the pages of this booklet, Ryle provides Christian parents with seventeen distinct suggestions on how they might train up their children accordingly.
The booklet was originally published in 1888 as part of a larger work entitled The Upper Room: Being a Few Truths for the Times. It has been reprinted on several occasions because of the timeless nature of its instruction.
