Online Test with Immediate Results
The online CAT Testing Service is for entering grades 2 through 12 and costs $25 per student. The Curriculum Recommendation Service fee is $18 per student. Scores are reported in grade equivalent, stanine, and percentile format. You get test results as soon as you finish the test.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test. Please add email@example.com to your address book to make sure you receive this email.
There is no refund for any unused online achievement or placement testing service. However, the curriculum recommendation service (if purchased) may be refunded in its entirety if we are notified prior to starting the recommendation process. Once our recommendation is completed, we are unable to issue a refund for this service.
If you decide to enroll into student with the Christian Liberty Academy School System (CLASS) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student’s tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one he or she originally took, the test cost will not be deducted from your student’s tuition fee.

The test is very good overall, great that your child's results are instant. Loved that she could take this at home.
For the language parts the font is small and very narrow margins it was difficult to see where one sentence ended and another began.
I read the language sections to my daughter or else she would have gotten lost. The font size on the reading is very small though the margins are better. Math, spelling, vocab were fine. Glad we used it, hope they can upgrade in a few areas.

I loved watching my children taking the CAT test online this year. So much easier than the booklets and bubbles. It was so quick for them. Stress free testing. We will definitely do it again year after year. We even had an error, and the lady there fixed our problems without any issues, and they are super nice and customer oriented.

I was nervous about doing a test at home but after a few panic attacks during the math, my daughter (6th grade) became comfortable with the way the test was set up. Once she relaxed, she actually enjoyed taking the test.

We had to have test reset so I called and they were very friendly and willing to work with me.
The only thing we didn't like was having to scroll down a little after each problem to hit next. This wastes time. On paper you would not have this problem. Love that you get the results immediately.

As long as you have a good internet connection this is a good choice.

Great price! I got the link quickly. She took the test and I had accurate results instantly, which was terrific. There were a few confusing instructions for a third grader and it was difficult for her to go back to check her answers, which is a feature I would love to see improved. Overall, I will probably use this again with my other children.

The tests were very quick and easy to administer. I tested two 3rd graders and one first grader. We started around 8:30 am and were done by around noon. I appreciated the knowledge that the test hasn't changed all these years so the scores would not be dumbed down.

I had my daughters take the online version of the CAT test even though neither of them were required to take a standardized test this year. They both did well on it, but it definitely had a learning curve attached, especially in the language sections in which questions involved looking at one specified line of a piece of writing. Each question's line was printed by itself below the full selection, and it took a while for the girls to realize that they needed to look at the line in context to determine if the capitalization and punctuation was correct.
One other thing that bothered them was that they were taking a test that is used for multiple grade levels (including several higher than their grade), so they had never studied or even heard of some of the language and math concepts. That was a bit unnerving for them, especially my stressful perfectionist-type daughter.
All in all, I was happy with the results, and we will likely use this test again next year, but be aware of potential issues and plan accordingly.

My 3rd grader gets so frustrated and distracted with test taking . The advantages of the online version are she doesn't focus on all the pages and questions she has left to answer or the number of questions left after time has run out. The only draw back s were certain pages needed her to scroll down with the mouse which took a little practice and also after selecting an answer she then had to press an additional button to submit. Not a big challenge but something to prepare your student for. The best part, when I had a technical problem Christian Liberty responded immediately and solved it so I was able to continue testing! Fantastic customer service!

My daughter is finishing up 3rd grade and this is the first test I have given to her. I was a little nervous but the website was very easy to navigate and the test walked us right through each section. I will be back again the next time I need to do testing.
