Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- COMPOSITE SCORING is included with your test. If you do not need it, you may check the "No" option.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

*Please note that the California Achievement Test has a 1 year expiration date.
Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Great product
We had no problems using the test. My son liked the online version better than the paper test we used last year, and we both liked that we could see the results quickly. I also appreciate that the price is reasonable. We will continue to use this test in the future.

Great way to administer standardized test for homeschooling!
Did online version. Took all the pressure off. Didn't have to drive long distance. Student could take test right in own home. Fair price. Quick results. Very easy to order for me and for student to take. Easy directions. Highly recommended. and CAT is on Pa's approved test list. Thank you for this option!

CAT Test... A Winner
I would recommend this achievement test. It was super easy to administer and I believe gave me a snap shot of where we are at with our schooling. Remember it is not an all inclusive picture but is a good guide line of what has been learned and what we still need to work on.

Great for encouragement and wake-up
This online test went smoothly for my 9th grade son. He was pleasantly surprised at some of his scores and not so pleased with others. There were no difficulties with the technical side of things, it was easy to follow the directions. We also liked getting the results right away. Thanks Christian Liberty.

Easy for my fifth grade to use; not so much for my 7yo
I was impressed by the convenience of using the online CAT test for both of my children My fifth grade flew through it and had no trouble understanding the instructions or navigating through the test. My second graderound just turned 7 when she took this test and had almost no experience in the computer so I was constantly having to reopen the screen for her when she accidentally left the page, or checking the volume She probably would've done better with the paper version.

Pleasant testing experience.
We have used Christian Liberty several times now and have not been disappointed. We homeschool but still must test every other year and this one has been great for us.

Best testing experience we've ever had!
This was our first time using an online testing service. The main reason we chose this program was the ability to test in a short amount of time for registration deadlines. The ease of the test taking process (well explained instructions, ease of using a computer vs paper test, and the ability to focus on one test question at a time vs seeing the entire section at once) really helped keep the test anxiety to a minimum! Since I was not able to see the test questions, I cannot say with 100% accuracy this test was completely on grade level, but my children scored very well (above average / well above average) and said they felt they were adequately prepared based on their grade level curriculum. Receiving the results immediately was also a huge plus as well! We will definitely use the Christian Liberty Press testing service again.

Easy to use, and structured well.
I liked this testing format. It was easy to understand how to do the tests. It was well organized and it was very helpful.
