Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- COMPOSITE SCORING is included with your test. If you do not need it, you may check the "No" option.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

*Please note that the California Achievement Test has a 1 year expiration date.
Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Simple & Quick
My dd took the online version and liked the timer so that she knew how long to linger on each problem. The directions were very clear. As she finished each section I was able to log on and check her scores. I am very happy with the results.

Easy, convenient, and fast results!
We were very happy with this test. This was our first year testing, and I wasn't sure what to expect. My son had no trouble with the test, and the results were instantaneous. We will definitely come back for our 5th year testing!

Fast grading!
We received the test (I opted for paper version) within a few days. After testing, we sent it back with the booklet for grading. Very, very fast turn around time and so easy. Thank you for making our homeschool journey painless on the testing front :)

EASY ONLINE TEST
I am very happy with the online test that my grandson took through Christian Liberty. The people that I spoke to were extremely helpful and very courteous. My grandson will take this test through them next year.

CAT Test Online = Awesome
This is the first year we used to CAT test and it worked so smoothly. We got our code to start almost immediately. My daughter could easily figure out how to use it, and I didn't have to administer it.

Good test for students who are easily distracted.
The online CAT work really well for my daughter who gets distracted easily. It was broken down into smaller pieces. The longest (for going into 9th grade) was only 44 minutes tops. Most were under 20 minutes. I did wish they had given information about how many days we had to access the site and complete the test and if we had to complete it all in one day. I still do not know the answers to those, so we did it all in one day. It took about 3 - 4 hours for the test itself.

Convenient to use
The CAT test(on line version) was my sons first experience with a standardized test. The computer had a error on the first test which slowed down his time. I called Christian Liberty customer service and they were very helpful and reset the test. He had no problems after that. I really liked the immediate scores.

Great for the Price
Very good value, was a little difficult to understand the directions for the first couple sections, but eventually caught on. Will definitely be purchasing this test for my other child.

Window in a window is annoying.
Overall I'm satisfied with this test. The layout of the window in a window is very annoying. I do wish it gave more detail about results or that parents could go over individual answers. All in all for the price, I'm happy. It satisfies my state's homeschool testing requirement without spending a lot and I was able to have the results immediately.
