Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Best assessment test!
I ordered the CAT test online version and it was simple and easy for my 5th graders to navigate. The testing content was superb and on point. We will be using this site and this test for future evaluations.

good old standby
I tried the online version of CAT this year with my 7,9,& 12 year olds. I was nervous about the timing & how our computer would cooperate (older model) but was pleasantly surprised & really appreciate the instant grading of the test sections. It sure beats mailing in the test forms & waiting a few weeks for results plus paying shipping costs. This 1970 version I honestly chose for the most reasonably priced option but at the same time I respected what Christian Liberty stated when they say that this version is traditional regarding the knowledge it is testing & how today's tests really are "dumbed down" for lack of better terminology, to suit today's teaching. So I figured you can't go wrong with an old classic. I found that my 7 & 9 year olds had a good fit for their knowledge & what was being tested. On the other hand I thought that the testing for my 12 year old was more advanced. The math especially (I may be partial because we are behind about a year's worth in math according to traditional studies) but even so I felt that our next year's curriculum wouldn't even touch on the facts tested here. Vocab was a little advanced as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the online version of the 1970 CAT from Christian Liberty. If I wanted to pay more & have the testing be easier I would choose a newer version, I guess I have another school year to think about the options. In the end we are taking these tests simply to comply with our state's requirements for homeschooling, & I wouldn't be testing my children otherwise...

perfect
I love it. Very easy to understand.

Works pretty good
We have used this test the past 6 years & really enjoy it. The only problem we have is that the circles are so hard to click. You have to be so very precise to mark it & it takes time. It would help if you could click the wording as well to choose your answer.

Easy!
I have always used a paper test, but needed to use an online test this year. I was very pleased with the ease of the entire process, from ordering to testing to receiving immediate results. Thank you for offering this service!

Great test
I am very pleased with this test. My daughter was able to take it over the course of a couple of days at home. The format was easy to use, she had control over which sections she took when and it was all a very smooth process. We received her results very quickly! We could look at them periodically as she finished a section, but then we were also able to see the complete scores very shortly after she finished. I had to call CLP a few times for clarification on things and each time they were extremely helpful. I would recommend also purchasing the curriculum recommendation option. I was pleased that they gave choices from other companies in addition to CLP.

Testing this way went smooth with no issues to deal with. My one child did the testing in one day while my other child took the test over two days. Results came quickly.

Easy, fast, Quick results!
Our state (PA) requires standardized tests in 3rd, 5th and 8th grades. Using the CAT online through Christian Liberty is a quick and easy way to fulfill the requirements. Ordering the test is simple and log-in credentials are emailed shortly thereafter. The computer is the proctor and so testing can begin right away, if desired. A bonus is the test results are available immediately after finishing the test. I would also like to complement customer service as we had a computer glitch during our test and they were very helpful to us in resolving the issue. Please note that this is a timed test and the countdown in the lower corner could cause anxiety for some test takers. My ADHD son did fine with the timed test and I feel having the timer kept him more focused. Thank you Christian Liberty for providing a quick and easy testing service!
