Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

CAT Test - Easy, Professional and Thorough
We have used the CAT four years and pa t continue with it. It has any option a student might require and provides instant feedback for the online version. The results give me feedback on just where my child stands and which areas we need

CAT Review
So excited to know there is a test that shows the growth of where my children are. I also like that they can take it right on the computer, also, great that they recommend books and curriculum from different resources. Extremely satisfied with Christian Liberty :-)

Easy and fast
We are homeschoolers and wanted to see how our daughter was doing academically. This was her first time taking a standardized test (6th grade) so there were some jitters, but the test gives you sample questions for each section before beginning the timed portion. We live overseas and need to do something online and this was just perfect. It was very easy to administer. My daughter scored higher than I expected, but the write up of the test explains that it doesn't mean your child is ready to skip to that grade level, but that they show a proficiency for some concepts beyond their current grade level.

cheap and easy
all my kids scored way too high with the CAT. It is easier than expected and according to these test scores, my kids are all geniuses. I love my kids, but ehhh...they aren't all 3 grade levels above their current. Just forewarning you all before you get a big head! haha

CAT Review
The Online California Achievement Test was a perfect way for the testing to be completed. It was convenient, inexpensive, easy to access, and the results were super fast. I like that the results show grade level so it's easy to know what areas need work or that they are excelling in. This is the test my family will use again for our testing needs. Thanks Christian Liberty for offering this test.

great customer service, easy to administer
Received tests immediately, with clear directions on how to administer it to my kids. Had a few specific ?'s about the test, emailed customer service and they got back to me right away and answered all my ?'s. Was looking for a quick and simple way to meet annual assessment requirements for homeschooling in our state. This definitely fit the bill! Found the grammar portions on the test to be a little confusing at times but otherwise pretty straight forward. Would def do this again!

Best assessment test!
I ordered the CAT test online version and it was simple and easy for my 5th graders to navigate. The testing content was superb and on point. We will be using this site and this test for future evaluations.

good old standby
I tried the online version of CAT this year with my 7,9,& 12 year olds. I was nervous about the timing & how our computer would cooperate (older model) but was pleasantly surprised & really appreciate the instant grading of the test sections. It sure beats mailing in the test forms & waiting a few weeks for results plus paying shipping costs. This 1970 version I honestly chose for the most reasonably priced option but at the same time I respected what Christian Liberty stated when they say that this version is traditional regarding the knowledge it is testing & how today's tests really are "dumbed down" for lack of better terminology, to suit today's teaching. So I figured you can't go wrong with an old classic. I found that my 7 & 9 year olds had a good fit for their knowledge & what was being tested. On the other hand I thought that the testing for my 12 year old was more advanced. The math especially (I may be partial because we are behind about a year's worth in math according to traditional studies) but even so I felt that our next year's curriculum wouldn't even touch on the facts tested here. Vocab was a little advanced as well. Overall I'm satisfied with the online version of the 1970 CAT from Christian Liberty. If I wanted to pay more & have the testing be easier I would choose a newer version, I guess I have another school year to think about the options. In the end we are taking these tests simply to comply with our state's requirements for homeschooling, & I wouldn't be testing my children otherwise...
