Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Better than expected
Fast, easy, to the point, super convenient, chip friendly, and trouble free, we will not be looking elsewhere for year end testing again. If that were not enough, customer service is thoughtful, prompt, and personal as well. As long as we have internet, we will use this product from now on. I'm sold!

Good Homeschool Assessment
This is the second year that I've used this. I really like the convenience of using this test. I get the instructions sent to my email right away and also get my finished results right away. Really nice. But this year, I was administering to my 1st grader and the audio did not work on one section of the test. Very disappointing.

Wonderful Resource
I felt the test was an excellent resource to use to evaluate my students. It was easy to understand how to use and provided valuable feedback.

Good & user friendly.
Can you make one for younger kids? My boy just finished K & he did well, but still...results were almost instant, and the tests can be done over a couple days or within an afternoon. Feedback is helpful, and this number nerd liked all the specifics (stanine, grade level, percentile...) Thank you!

Homeschool assessment
I did not read this test along with my son. There was only one section he complained about. The section in question was in the reading comp that includes using a diagram with letter segments. I think it unnecessary...it's confusing or written poorly. Speaking with other homeschool parents, they agreed. However, I do appreciate the ability and ease of having my son complete this online. The results were immediate.

An Oldie but Goodie
This is our second year using this test. I like the academic expectations of this older version as it challenges our kids. It is clearly presented and easy to use. You get quick score results and data. It presents a clear picture of a student's progress in the three core areas.

Helpful company personel!!
This is the third time I have done this test with my son. We had zero issues the first two times around and when we ran into an issue this time, I called, talked to someone right away, and she took care of it so easily. Thanks for making the process so seamless!

Easy to use and fast results!
We used the CAT online for my children completing the 3rd and 5th grades this year. This was our first time with an online standardized test. It was easy to use and worked well. My favorite part was how quickly we could see the scores. What I didn't like about doing it on a computer versus on paper is when there was a longer passage to read for punctuation, spelling, or comprehension, time was wasted by having to constantly scroll down to see the question and back up to the passage, etc. I probably would prefer the paper version, but the instant results can't be beat!!
