Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Useful tool for Homeschool
We have homeschooled in MI, PA and IL and this is a great tool for an end-of-the-year evaluation. In 6 years we have never waited more than 10 minutes for the test and never had a problem loading and taking the test. It's a great intro for my HS student to get used to the world of computerized test taking. Explanations that come with the test results are helpful - and appreciated. The distributors are friendly, helpful, and easy to reach if a equation comes up.

Super Easy to Use and Understand Results
My daughter is homeschooled and I wanted to know that her understanding for her grade level was on point. She took this test and didn't stress or struggle. It was easy for her to take and the results were easy for me to understand. I will use this product again for the next grade level.

Easy to use, results were fast
This was our first year needing to complete standardized testing so we were a little apprehensive. The test was easy to spread out over 3 days and was able to be completed in the comfort of our own home. My child also completed the practice test prior in order to be more familiar with the format of the test. I highly recommend that as well!

Easy to use
This was our first time using a product like this and it was very easy to navigate. The results came in super fast. I also felt that the results were a fairly good representation of the skill levels of my children. I will use again next year.

CAT review
I found that the CAT was much easier to use than I anticipated, especially for the first time! I like that the results are immediate, there is a good explanation of what each of the scores mean, and my son could take breaks between tests. He did very well navigating the test himself.

Good practice in taking standardized tests
Overall, I was quite satisfied with the CAT Online. We did have an issue during the first section of the test in which an error message ran for all three students taking the test and it took a while for us to get the test going again. The timer ran down the whole time we were getting things going again, so the kids had very little time left to finish the section. However, the customer service is extremely helpful, professional, and polite, and helped us address the problem. I was satisfied with the third and fourth grade level tests we took, though there seemed to be a bigger jump in the difficulty between those two grades than I would have anticipated. This product is easy to use and navigate. We will probably use a newer test in the future, but this was a good introduction to standardized testing for our kids.
