Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- COMPOSITE SCORING is included with your test. If you do not need it, you may check the "No" option.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

*Please note that the California Achievement Test has a 1 year expiration date.
Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty has added the composite score option in response to some state and local school requirements.** This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.
What is Composite Scoring?
** Christian Liberty does not require a composite score for enrollment into its homeschool academy.
Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete and may delay the arrival of your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

quick, easy, friendly customer service
This was my daughter's second year using the online CAT and it's probably the easiest yet most important step we take in homeschooling each year. We stress over tests, even the thought of it being timed, but she still makes high scores. I love the price, the fact it's taken at home, and we get the scores as soon as she finishes. I made some mistakes last year and this year and was able to quickly reset a section by calling the friendly customer service that got us back on task and made some suggestions as well.

This was great. My son took it seriously and was able to progress through the pages without a problem. Obtaining the results immediately was fantastic!

Easier than I thought
We have given the paper CAT tests for years. This was our first year working with the online test and it was very easy to manage. I like that it is self-timed. Also the reports of scores were immediate. We needed a final composite score of each student in our homeschool and with an email I had them all the next day. Definitely planning on doing this again next year.

Cat test
As a homeschooling mom of 20 years, Christian Liberty has made Standardized test supper easy! It is so nice to be able to take this in the privacy of your own home, instead of putting the kids in a strange environment. And I loved the quick results. Thank you!

Lover the ease of use. Wish 3rd grade would come back, as I have one of those next year. This testing is nice because of all the small segments.

Excellent choice for testing at home
We had a very good experience testing this year with my youngest daughter. She has visual tracking deficits which would have made the paper version difficult for her due to the closely printed problems and answer bubbles. The way that the online format was presented one question at a time was very easy for her to understand and complete. We did have technical difficulties on one section and it had to be reset. Tech support was helpful and prompt with the fix.

very pleased
This was our first experience with online testing. My boys aged 12 and 14 completed their testing over several days. I allowed them to choose which tests they would take each day. We had no problems with the test at all. I did not have to decide on my test week in advance but was able to sign up when we were ready. The test was available within minutes and the results were immediate upon completion of the last test. We will definitely use this test again next year.

For the most part the test worked well. There were times, however, when the time would run but the page wan't completely loaded.
