Online California Achievement Test with near-instant, emailed results. This is a timed test.
This 1970 edition California Achievement Test is for students entering grades 2 through 12. It covers the following subject areas: Reading (vocabulary and comprehension), Mathematics (computation and concepts & problems), and Language (mechanics, usage & structure, and spelling). The test for entering grade 2 also includes Auding.
Scores reported will offer a grade equivalent score, but also percentile and stanine rankings for each of the individual test sections. You will receive your test results by email shortly after the test is completed.
Ordering Instructions:
- Enter the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME of the student to be tested in the spaces provided.
- Select the GRADE ENTERING; not the student's current grade.
- Indicate if you would like to add the RECOMMENDATION SERVICE service to your test (explained below).
- Please enter information only for one student at a time, then select the Add To Cart button.
- If you wish to purchase testing services for additional students, or wish to make other purchases, select the Continue Shopping link after viewing your shopping cart.
You will receive an email with details about registering to take the test shortly after completing your order. In most cases we are able to send the information within an hour but there may be times where it takes longer - up to 1 business day.

Composite Scoring:
Christian Liberty Press now includes composite scores with the test results. This score is calculated from the raw scores of the individual sections of the California Achievement Test. Composite score results are displayed in raw score, percentile, and stanine rank formats. A grade equivalent composite score is not available.

Recommendation Service:
If you are unsure which curriculum materials to choose based on the achievement test scores, Christian Liberty offers a curriculum recommendation service to provide guidance in this area. This service provides a subject-by-subject listing of recommended curriculum materials (from those offered through Christian Liberty) based solely on the CAT scores.
The recommendation service can take a few business days to complete. You will receive it separate from your test scores.
After testing is completed:
If you decide to enroll your student into Christian Liberty Homeschools (CLH) within six months after receiving the test results, the cost of the test will be deducted from your student's tuition fee. However, if you enroll your student in a grade level using a different test than the one originally taken, the test cost will not be deducted from your student's tuition fee.

Very pleased
My son took the Cat 5 online test - level 4. We were very satisfied with the setup of the test. Very user friendly website. Time allotted for each test was adequate. What we both liked the most was the immediate feedback. As soon as he completed a test, we could go directly to the scores review and see how he did. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Easy to take, hard to understand results
My son has taken this test for two years in a row. He thinks it's an easy test and actually enjoys taking it. My daughter thought it very hard since this is the first year she took it. It's somewhat easy to understand although the instructions for certain parts are confusing. Also, reading the results and understanding them is difficult since I don't know what some of the numbers mean. Overall, it's easy to administer but could use more thorough explanation of results.

Hassle-free and Easy
We ordered the CAT exam and our student had no problems at all. Fairly easy and all nerves were calmed after starting the exam. Thank you for providing this online.

Great Choice
Loved it. The test went smoothly. My 8 year old enjoyed taking it. She was able to use the mouse or the touch screen. The results came immediately and were easy to understand.

Too difficult to navigate on computer
The children's results were not a true reflection of their knowledge of the test material. They had a hard time moving around on the computer screen and kept having to scroll up and down on the same page to get answers to one problem, which caused them to be unable to finish as many problems as they could have on paper.

Very pleased
This was my first year homeschooling, and proved to be a very easy test to use. Directions were clear, and loved the immediate test results.

best for older students
I really liked the online version of the California Achievement Test, but my third grader had a little difficulty manuevering from question to question and going back to review, since you can only view one question at a time. Overall, it was a positive experience and I'm sure I will use it again.
